Gramado is small but a beautiful city located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in the southern Brazil. Most of the international tourists do not know much about this place. History of Gramado Brazil
The history of Gramado starts from 1875 when the Portuguese immigrants came and settled here. In 1880, German immigrants also arrived here and were shortly followed by the Italian immigrants as well. Gramado city was formed within the city of Taquara and the city seat was moved to Linha Nova in 1913. Linha Nova is the present-day city center of Gramado. In 1921, railway came to the city and the local economy started to boost. Soon Gramado became a popular summer holiday resort of the country. By enforcing State Act no. 2,522, Gramado became an independent city on 15 December 1954.

Lago Negro (Black Lake)
This is a very romantic and beautiful lake in Gramado. The lake water reflects the green and dark shade because of the surrounding trees that were brought from the German Black Forest. The area around the Lago Negro is surrounded by fresh air and is an ideal place to stay especially in the summer season. The lake and surroundings are naturally decorated with lots of blue flowers in the summer.
This lake is an ideal place for families and couples, where they can walk and indulge in pedal boating, kayaking and ride water bikes while enjoying the hydrangeas and azaleas. Although the lake and trees are artificial, but they are very well maintained, calm and very romantic.
Mini Mundo (Mini World)
This wonderful attraction in Gramado was actually created by a grandfather for his grandchildren as a present. It has been since maintained and expanded to become a complete mini world and an attraction for many children. This place is worth a visit if you are visiting Gramado with children.
Mini Mundo has small scale models of houses, buildings, churches, railways, lakes, urban areas and people. It also has a small mountain with cable car lines. There are also some famous European buildings and churches. The detailing, maintenance and organization is worth a praise. All of them look so real and fantastic that even adults enjoy this artwork with keen interest.

Igreja Matriz Sao Pedro Apostolo Gramado Brazil
This beautiful church, with stone images of the 12 apostles on the front, is an amazing attraction in the city. It is not a big church, but its architecture is very striking.
